I have some Colorbond metal flashing to cover pipes on my backyard. Unfortunately, the colour is wrong and I would like to repaint to match the house colour.
Please confirm if Dulux Deep Semi Gloss Weathershield Exterior Paint would be suitable for this project. I already have this paint and ideally I do not to purchase another one.
The product description says
"Dulux Weathershield is suitable for most exterior surfaces – including timber, brick, concrete, fibre cement board, masonry, steel (including Colorbond®, Colorsteel® and Zincalume®) and galvanised iron."
So, I assume it should be Ok to use this paint.
Do I need to use some sort of primer? Or can I just lightly sand my Colorbond flashing and paint it directly using Dulux Deep Semi Gloss Weathershield Exterior Paint?
Hello @alex27
Thanks for sharing your question about painting your Colorbond flashing. I suggest having a quick look at this discussion - How to paint a Colorbond fence? by @Oshah. In the discussion you'll see the suggested preparation steps and the recommended primer White Knight Rust Guard Grey Quick Dry True Bite Primer Paint. The Dulux Weathersheild paint will work with the primer.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
