How to improve the look of my grass and fill in grass patches?

Hi

I purchased a bag of fertiliser to help with the green look of the grass im my front yard nd also fix the empty patches.

This hasn't done anything, I wonder what to try next to help the grass grow greener, fill in the patches and remove all the weeds.

What can be done?

I have attached some photos.

Re: how to improve the look of my grass and fill in grass patches

Hi @AJ-DIYer,

Could you please let us know what fertiliser you applied, how much of it and when? It sounds like the area might need a good aeration and an application of topsoil. Aeration allows fertilisers, moisture and air to get down to where it's needed. The area, especially near the water meter, looks very compact, and aeration will assist.

If aeration doesn't have an immediate effect, then you can look towards over-sowing seed packets to infill the area.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
