What product can I use to stop loss of water between the plastic dish where the hydrostatic concrete plug
sitting in and the concrete.
Hi @rosebay11,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, and thank you for your question.
You can seal around the hydrostic plug housing using a pool-friendly silicone sealant such as SikaSil Premium Pool Silicone.
Apply a continuous bead around the whole outside of the plug housing, ensuring there is good adhesion and no gaps.
Check out How To Silicone a Gap for an example of how to apply silicone.
Let me know what you think, and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Jacob
Thank you for your response.
This a 35 years old pool which we recently repainted, just before we painted the pool we lost 30k litres of water overnight. Few days after painting the pool I used marine grease around the hydrostatic plag and the inside plastic insert were the plug fits in. After few days of trouble free running we lost 15k of water over night. After testing for leaks I found I hairline separation in few places on the outside of the plastic insert. It appears it is a ageing process of the plastic. Some one recently after discussing my issue suggested to use Sikafkex*-11R, what is your opinion on this ?, much appreciate any supporting wive you my have regarding the use of the product and it's application, keep in main I am dealing with a hairline separation between concrete and the plastic insert.
Kind regards Henry B
Hello @rosebay11
I tried to look for the Sikaflex*-11R but could not find a reference to it. I suggest using the Sika 300ml Transparent SikaSil Premium Pool Silicone that Jacob suggested. This is designed to be used for swimming pool use.
