How to fix outdoor lights that have come off brickwork?

Hi all,

Our outdoor lights appear to have come off the walls (they are old). I am wondering how easy it is to put them back on?

We are also looking to replace the sconces as they are a bit outdated...is this something an electrician would need to do?

Thank you for the advice in advance

Re: Outdoor Lighting

Hello Aplas1987,

I suggest going to your local Bunnings and get a fresh set of plastic wall plugs (masonry type) and perhaps some 8 gauge timber screws perhaps 40 or 50 mm depending how deep the screw holes are. Remove old plugs with long nose pliers and tap in new plugs. Trim excess with stanley knife. Position light and screw back into original position! Call family and neighbors and show off skill at remounting light. Post on workshop get lots of likes!

Re: Outdoor Lighting

If you want to replace them, you'll need an electrician @aplas1987. Just buy the lights at Bunnings or another store and then call a local electrician to install them.
