How to fix Festoon Light loose connection?

Hi

I move into a house with an existing festoon lighting installation. In the past week there is a connection that keeps getting separated. No matter how many times I connect it keeps separating.

Is there a way I can secure this connection even more? I saw previous owners used zip ties but is there a better solution to this issue?

any help would be appreciated.

Re: Festoon Light Loose Connection

Hello @HaruS

Thank you for sharing your question about your festoon lights. I suggest looking at using DETA 20m 18mm Black Insulation PVC Tape to keep the joins secure. However, if the parts are starting to come apart because they are too brittle, it might be time to replace the entire set of festoon lights. Another option is engaging the services of an electrician, they can change the old fittings with a new set. Please note that any electrical work or repair must be carried out by a licensed electrician for safety and compliance.

Repair or replace is something you'll need to take into consideration as the cost of a new set of festoon lights might be less than the cost of the electrician's service fee.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
