How to find an angle for the last deck board?

IMG_4618.jpeg

I’m struggling to find the angle and way to transfer a temple so my last board would fit. There is a problem though, I can’t just measure it because it doesn’t look like the space is even all the way. The top part near where the edge board will sit is a bit wider and the other parts are a bit narrow.

Re: How to find an angle for the last deck board

Hi @Mdsyd,

Many thanks for your question about finding the angle of cut for your final decking board.

The simplest way to find the angle is to measure the width at each end of the gap, minus the 2-3mm for the space between boards and mark these measurements on the decking board. Trace a line between these two points and then cut your board.

As long as the angle is consistent across the length of the board, this will give you a perfect cut.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
