How to fill hole for barbecue gas line?

 Any filler to fill this hole where the Gas pipe is passing thru. please suggest how to fill this gap.

This is BBQ machine and dont want to pass the oil spills thru the hole to bottom cupboard.

Hi @Samara1,

Thank you for your question.

I'd probably avoid using a filler as if you need access to the gas line for whatever reason it would be particularly difficult to remove anything.

Something like this Kinetic 1/2" Chrome BSP Flat Cover Plate with a hole that fits tightly around your gas line is probably a good option. It can be stuck down with a bead of Translucent SikaSeal, which will make it much easier to remove if required and will prevent grease from getting underneath.

I might  use a flat aluminium plate 50mm  square with a slot cut into it the same size as the pipe hose so it slips  under the hose  connection   around the pipe snug,  and over the hole. 

 

@JacobZ  's   Cover plate will work good  here just need angle grinder to cut a neat slot.

 

 

Or  Make a  flat plate out of allfoil  directly as a cheap fire safe option  two or so  layers
