How to extend a boundary fence that is pool compliant?

I am wanting advice on types of materials to extend the height of a boundary fence- must not have finger hold points, for pool compliance. I have been given a suggestion of a type of metal mesh.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about extending your pool fence.

In order to give our members a better idea of the type of fence you currently have, would it be possible for you to post a few photos of the section you are trying to modify. We can then make recommendations on what materials you can use to extend your fence.

The most common materials often used for fence extensions are timber and Colorbond steel, the third option of course is using composite materials such as Ekodeck panels. But it all depends on its suitability and if it will pass the requirements of the pool fence inspector. 

In regards to the mesh you were mentioning, can you please tell us more about it? Is it a fine mesh with a galvanized coating? How strong is it and can it be installed on its own or do you need a frame for it? Any extra information you can tell us would be very much appreciated.
