How to add roof to pergola?
Hi, I want to add shading to my outdoor pergola. It is flat as I don't believe it was made to hold a roof. I did like polycarbonate roofing as an idea. But it seems this will be https://www.bunnings.com.au/coolaroo-1-83-wide-black-light-duty-screening-shade-cloth-70-uv-block-p-...
What colour is suggested? How to install? Can it be cut?

Re: How to add roof to pergola?
Hi @ramonrodriguez,
Thank you for your question about adding shade to your pergola.
Shade cloth like the one you have linked to is a great option for this.
Considering shade is the primary objective, you should go with shade cloth with a higher percentage UV block such as this Coolaroo Graphite Heavy-Duty Shade Cloth 90% UV block.
It can be cut to size very easily using some scissors, a utility knife or this Coolaroo Shadecloth Cutter.
Assuming the pergola is made of timber, you can use Coolaroo Black Timber Fasteners to install it. Simply cut the shade cloth to size, lay it out and then use a hammer to hit the fasteners into place.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
