a stormwater pipe installed in 69 70 for stormwater got dug out by cowboys and left exposed to the elements. One side you could see the wire mesh right through it.
Question is could it of been ASBESTOS POPE and how do you know..
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @preact25. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about identifying asbestos.
Posting a photo would help us understand what type of pipe you're trying to identify. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.
Once we can see the pipe, it will help us determine the likelihood of it being asbestos. However, if there is ever any doubt whether something could be asbestos, it is best to have it tested. Asbestos was used predominantly used in pipe lagging, rather than the pipes themselves, but without testing done on the pipe, no one can be 100% sure that it doesn't contain asbestos.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
