Hi, I’ve purchased this concrete table that has some slight damage. I’m wondering what products I could use to repair it.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @danniv. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a table.
Although you could potentially fill the damage with a cement repair product such as Earl's 1kg Concremate Expanding Cement, there's no guarantee that it will be a solid repair since it's quite a thin layer of cement that has been chipped away. Additionally, the concrete on the table is coated, and you can see the difference between the internal lighter cement and the colour of the top. Any repair you do to the area will be a lighter colour, so you would need to paint the repair to disguise it. Furthermore, finding a paint suitable for coating a concrete table would prove difficult. Overall, performing a repair that will not be noticeable would be almost impossible, but you might be able to disguise it enough to be satisfied.
From my experience, even the best cement repair products might struggle to provide a flawless finish, especially when dealing with such thin layers and colour differences. If you're aiming for a seamless look, you might want to consider a professional refinishing service. They have the tools and expertise to match the colour and texture more closely, which can help make the repair less noticeable.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
