Hello everyone,
I want to install a garden shed in my backyard at the corner. Its a newly built house,so the backyard has only soil. Do I need to have a concrete slab for installing a garden shed? is there any other cost effective method available to fix the shed to the ground securely?
Hello @NewbeeDYI
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about setting up a garden shed.
Installing a garden shed is a long-term investment and putting in a concrete base means that the shed can be properly anchored, and you satisfy one of the warranty conditions of installing a shed and that is to have a concrete slab. I suggest having a look at this guide - How to pour a concrete slab by @tom_builds. It is an excellent guide on how to pour your own concrete slab. Before you begin, please make sure to check the rules and regulations of your local council in regards to positioning your garden shed in relation to your fence line and house.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
