Welcome to Workshop @Dave21 and thanks for joining in the discussion. We would encourage you to contact your council if you are interested in building your own deck as local laws can differ. What are your plans?

@Dave21  Hi Dave, as Jason explained best to check the regulations in your Council. For us we didn’t need a permit as long as it wasn’t attached to the house for stability. Ours is completely seperate to the house. However if we decide to build a Pergola we are required to apply for one.
