Color advice wanted for stormwater pits

If you install these stormwater pits at the backyard , which color of pit cover you would ? metal silver or black ? it seems silver is a better match with the greenery. Would love to hear everyones thought. Thanks heaps!

Either colour is pretty  nuetral. Black will fit in with most spaces  but you might  like you grate to match silver colours in the area .

Go black for a general  out door area  maybe  use silver if pit is in a dark area to try lighten area  up.

Or buy a colour  spray can and create match your own  surroundings.  You can  paint it  forrest green to make it look nateral and hide mould  growth in a wet area,  or  you can paint it bright  to make it pop as a feature if you like that  idea.

Spray paint a grate is easy  project if you wished to go that way

It's fantastic that you've received excellent advice from @Jewelleryrescue. What I've noticed with the metal pit cover is that it keeps its finish much longer than the black plastic one. The advantage is that the steel cover can be painted and when the paint starts to peel it can be stripped off with the steel finish intact.
