Hi! Can I use the Jack Whites Screen Up System for my front garden fencing?
One of the wooden post has rotten out and I am thinking of changing the fencing to metal posts when I came across Jack Whites Screen Up system, seems like it’s not too hard for a DIY to do.
another thing is we do have a side gate near the house walls where a path is shown on the ground leading into the front garden. Can I build a fence door/gate on the Jack Whites Screen Up system?
any other suggestions would be great! Metal posts, colourbond fencing etc.
cheers
Jay
Hello @Jaywang
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about the Jack Screen Up system.
I must admit that the Jack Screen Up system is quite easy to assemble, but it is used more as a screen rather than as a fence. Your current fence frame appears to be still in good condition, is there a reason you wish to upgrade. The options are using Colorbond fencing systems or traditional post and paling. However, I was wondering if your fencing frame is still viable. It might be possible to modify it to use timber palings.
In regards to creating a gate, you can either build it from scratch using timber or use a Fortress gate system.
