Hi everyone,
I have some left over blue metal and was thinking of putting around the side of the house between the wall and the fence.
Do you think this is a good idea …will it help with drainage, stop weeds and be better to walk on or cause issues?
Regards
Chris
Hi @ChrisA,
Using blue metal along the side of your house can actually be a smart choice as it will help with drainage by allowing water to pass through into the ground below, which can prevent water from pooling. However, to keep weeds at bay, I’d recommend adding a layer of weed matting under the blue metal. This will give you a low-maintenance barrier that stops weeds from growing up through the stones.
In addition, blue metal creates a solid surface that’s comfortable to walk on and tends to stay in place well. It can also help keep the area looking tidy and well-kept. Overall, if you have some spare, I don't think it will cause any issue and will improve the area's aesthetics.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
