Can bastion concrete sealer be used on stone/brick wall before painting? I have seen other posts that only recommend chrommelin, but not bastion?
Hello @Ross-
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about Bastion concrete sealer.
Bastion Matt Concrete Sealer is designed to protect and enhance concrete surfaces while maintaining a natural, low-sheen finish. It helps to seal porous concrete, reducing dust, preventing staining, and making the surface easier to clean. It also offers resistance to water, oil, and other contaminants, which helps prolong the life of your concrete.
However, like most topical sealers, Bastion Matt Concrete Sealer can be susceptible to hydrostatic pressure, which occurs when moisture pushes up from beneath the concrete. If your concrete is exposed to rising damp, groundwater, or moisture trapped underneath, the sealer may lift, bubble, or peel over time.
I don't recommend painting over the Bastion sealer as it will not adhere properly to its surface.
