how do I fix the drooping door handles?

These door handles sag and do not lock the room anymore  (our dog can literally nose it open!) Any way to fix this?

Re: how do I fix the drooping door handles?

First step would be to pry open the cup that is on the door to reveal screws. You can try tighten them to see if that fixes the issue. If it doesn’t, more detailed pictures will help this group assist

Re: how do I fix the drooping door handles?

Hi @russkhaya,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

It's great to see you've already received some advice from @jaiprak who is correct that your first step should be to remove the cover plate to reveal the screws that hold the door in place.

Tightening them can sometimes fix this issue if the handles are no longer clamping together tightly, however sagging door handles are often related to the wearing down of internal springs and mechanisms that are not simple to fix or replace.

If you try the method jaiprak has mentioned and have no success, please upload some more detailed photos of the inside of the door handle so we can try to assist further.

Unfortunately, there's a good chance the handle may need to be replaced.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
