What paint can I use on a wall behind a combustion heater?
The wall will be about 50cm from the flue.
Thanks.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @DIYwarrior. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about painting near a heater.
First, check the installation instructions for your combustion heater to ensure that a wall 50cm from the flue isn’t within the zone that requires non-combustible materials, such as steel or tiles. If the wall falls within this safety zone, you'll need to use a non-combustible material instead of paint.
If the wall is outside the safety zone, a standard wall paint, such as Dulux Wash & Wear, should be suitable. This type of paint is durable and washable, making it a good option for areas near heaters. However, always verify the installation guidelines and consult a professional if you’re unsure about the safety requirements.
