This Marketplace find was a ...........challenge! Although in great sturdy condition, it was painted in some type of milky white coating it was almost like a plastic coating) It took ages to sand and kept blocking the sander paper. The Ozito Random Orbital blasted through like a champ though!
The staining took really well, the spray gloss went on perfectly...until I put my hand on it to reattach the doors and left a lovely hand print! I thought it was dry but apparently I'm still learning what 'dry' means!
I re-listed this on Marketplace and it sold within 13 minutes. The joy in knowing that someone would love an old piece of furniture made new again is everything! I still have the upcycling bug so number 4 is on the way!
Hello @DanaR
Thank you for sharing an amazing upcycle project.
What an excellent project and an amazing sale at the same time! The upcycle bug has definitely well and truly bitten you in a big way. You've gained fantastic experience with your last project. If you feel you're ready, I suggest getting an Ozito 400W Power Paint Spray Gun as your next tool in your journey in painting upcycle furniture. This will allow you to make flawless lacquer finishes on tabletops and brushless finishes on cabinet doors and panels.
We look forward to the next upcycle project.
