Since I had a teal bed, I had been struggling to find the perfect side tables to go with it. I had this idea in mind and got to work.
I bought these side tables from my local thrift store for $15 each.
The first thing I did was to clean and sand the tables. Once that was done, I prepped them with the Benjamin Moore Stix Primer. I let it cure overnight and then went in with dulux paint in the shade Turkish Aqua. I ended up doing 2 coats. They gave ample coverage.
Once that was dry, I used a stencil in bone inlay design and used a small paint roller to stencil the design.
Sealed it with a coat of clear varnish and added new knobs.
I'm quite happy with the end result.

Hello @sidrah
Thank you very much for posting this side table upcycle project. I love the Turkish Aqua colour, it reminds me of the ocean and it is so relaxing. It looks fantastic as it goes so well with the bed and your plant pot. The stencil really gives it such a beautiful highlight, how long did the entire project take? Do you have any tips for those wanting to attempt this project?
We look forward to seeing your next project.
Eric
