Using an old skateboard, I completely stripped it back to bear and sanded the board for a blank canvas.
I designed the name and artwork on my computer. Using a transfer paper and a spray adhesive, I transferred the image to the board.
Lastly I painted the skateboard and sanded some of the paint off to create that rustic beach look. Also added rope to the holes in the skateboard deck.

I love the rope in the holes as it gives it some great texture. I am sure Jayden is just as pleased as you are. I can even see this project making it into one of our Top Ideas articles like 10 D.I.Y. gift ideas one day.
