Centre drawers removed and shelf created with Tassie oak. Sanded, primed and painted. New handles. New Tassie oak top biscuit joined and finished with Tassie oak trim
What a great job! It looks so sleek and modern now that you wouldn't think it was the same cabinet.
Hi @KMP,
Really superb job with your refurbished cabinet!
I would love to know what colour of paint you used. Did you remove the centre drawers to turn it into a TV unit?
Katie
Hi @KMP
Thank you so much for sharing your upcycle project. What colour did you choose for the cabinet? It looks stunning and the tassie oak top really pops out. How long did the entire process take? Did you buy the cabinet at the store or was it curbside rescue?
We look forward to seeing your next creation.
Eric
Hi Kate, yes it’s a TV cabinet now.
Paint colour is Ace of Spades in Dulux semigloss aquanamel.
I’ll try to upload another photo of it in place
Hi Eric
purchased it for cheap through social media.
colour is Ace of Spades Dulux semigloss aquanamel.
I spread the work out on days off over about a month so probably took a few full days in total.
Hi @KMP,
We would love to see a styled photo of your gorgeous cabinet in its new home. Thank you!
Katie
here you go
Hi @KMP
Thank you so much for the photo update. It looks great and I can see why you emptied out the space in middle for your other devices. It's a perfect fit for the area.
Again, thanks for sharing your timber cabinet project.
