Is this newly installed fan light noise normal?

Hello,

i have a newly installed ceiling fan that makes a sort of discharge metallic sound after 2 seconds of switching on or off. Is this normal?

Thank you for sharing your question about your newly installed fan. It sounds to me like a solenoid function that is being triggered inside the fan. But at the same time, I'm surprised that it is very loud. Did you purchase the fan from the store? If you did, can you please tell me the make and model of the unit your purchased. I can then forward your video to our supplier and ask them if the fan is supposed to make this noise when the light is being turned on. 

Another option is to ask your electrician if this is normal or is the fan malfunctioning. If it is malfunctioning, then I suggest returning it for an exchange.
