How to wall mount a TV in between two doors?

I want to install a 55" tv in between these two door frames (which fits).

I want to understand if I can install a wall mount bracket and find the stud between two door frames, or is there an option that I can install the mounting bracket to the door frames in any way?

Should I buy stud finder to navigate the location of stud?

Re: Wall mounting a TV in between two doors

Hi @Ava,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

It is certainly possible to install a TV mounting bracket in this location as the width of the wall would almost certainly mean there are at least two usable studs between the door frames.

My main concern with this location is the number of electrical services on the wall. You can use a stud finder to locate and mark out the studs, but there is still some potential for screws to come in contact with electrical wires within the wall. Turning off the power at the switchboard is paramount in this situation, but even then, electrical services can be damaged during installation of the mounting bracket.

For this reason, I would suggest checking out our TV Wall Bracket Installation service which can be organised through your local store's Special Orders desk. This will ensure a safe and professional installation of your wall mounted TV.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
