Hi I bought a wooden Queen Headboard online and when I recieved it was shocked how heavy it was 47kgs. Note check specifications next time. I'm looking for some advice on the best way to secure it to my essemble or the wall.
Thank you
Hello @meril
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your headboard.
What an absolutely gorgeous headboard! I personally like these kind of headboards as it reminds me of English bed and breakfast places in the UK. The last thing I would want to suggest is to drill through the front of it, would it be possible for you to post a picture of the back of the headboard?
This will give our members a better idea of what we can attach to the back to anchor it to your wall. The general idea would be to locate the studs in your wall first and then figure out an anchoring system that will be safe for you and keep the headboard attached to your wall.
Here is a handy guide to get you moving ahead: How to use a stud finder.

Hi @meril,
Some options I have found that you could consider are:
There are certainly other ways to do it, but these options are easy to install and aren't too damaging.
If you want more ideas or advice, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hello @meril
Just to add to the suggestions made, I propose using 42 x 19mm 1.8m DAR Pine Premium - 1.8m and installing it at the back of your headboard and using a French cleat to anchor your bed to the wall. I've placed a sample image below to give you an idea of how its assembled.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
