Good evening,
I am living in the house which is built in 1960 has sliding big size windows, where on side has fly screen net & other half is fixed glass window.
I have noticed few gaps outside of the window frames & some between the frames & glass.
Could you please help/suggest me what would be the best to fix it.
will share some picture for your reference.
Thank you,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @jpnpatel. It's a pleasure to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about sealing around windows.
Our members will be keen to see those images as they will allow them to make informed suggestions on resolving your gap issue. Let me know if you need a hand uploading the pictures.
Whilst we are waiting on those images, you might like to check out these helpful guides: How to winter-proof your home, How to seal gaps in doors and windows and How to seal a window. We also have an excellent article on How to keep your home warm in winter from one of our D.I.Y. gurus @Adam_W.
There are a variety of different gap-filling products that will suit your needs. To start, you can use Moroday 6mm x 5m White Gap Filler Rod to pack out larger gaps before filling over them with Selleys 475g No More Gaps Interior Multipurpose Gap Filler. If the gaps are smaller (up to 5mm), you can use the filler by itself to cover the gap.
There shouldn't be gaps between the glass and its frame, so having a glazier assess those areas might be an idea to ensure there's no risk of the glass panel falling out.
We'll be looking forward to those images and assisting further.

Hi @jpnpatel,
Since this is on the exterior, I'd recommend using Sikaflex 11FC, as it's a flexible sealer designed for this type of job. As mentioned previously, if you encounter larger gaps and are wasting too much sealer in them, you can push the filler rod inside the gap to pack it out.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
