Hi, how to re-stitch a 1cm rip in my black leather lounge. I hope someone can help me.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @2restore. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a rip in leather.
Typically, rips in leather are not sewn together as it would be a noticeable repair. You'd normally insert a piece of leather or other material inside the rip and then glue the leather down to it, ensuring the rip is pulled closely together as you do so. Specialised filler and stains can then be used to ensure the repair is seamless.
You might even find that some cloth tape inserted behind the leather would be enough to hold the rip together.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

What type of glue would you recommend?
Hello @monica133
Welcome to the Bunnings workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about what glue to use on leather.
I propose having a look at Selleys 50ml Shoe Fix. This glue is rated for leather use as well. I also recommend having a look at the proposed solution offered by Mitchell. Using cloth tape is definitely an option you can explore.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
