Hi there, we recently removed a 3m command hook that was attached to our ceiling. Unfortunately whilst removing it, it pulled the pain from the ceiling with it. Am wondering the best course to repaint it. Do I need to sand, prime then repaint, or can I just repaint over it?
Thanks
Hello @JRPWC
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about fixing a chip in your ceiling.
I suggest employing 240-grit sandpaper to smooth out the edge of the affected paint area, eliminating any raised portions. Following this, apply a thin layer of UNi-PRO 500g Multi-Purpose Interior Filler - 500g to even out the surface.
After the filler has fully cured, sand the surface once more and thoroughly wipe it down before proceeding with painting. For covering the damaged section, I recommend using a sample pot of white paint. Keep in mind that initially, the repaired area may be noticeable, but over time, as the paint naturally fades and accumulates dust, it will blend in.
