Hi all,
I have this gap in one of my sliding doors and as a result, the area of the home is poorly insulated.
What are some of the solutions that will allow me to close this gap please?
Thanks again!
Roshan
Hi @roshanrn,
Thank you for your question about closing a gap in your sliding door.
Is it possible to get some photos of the inside of the track that the door is supposed to close into?
Assuming the top and bottom runners are level, this would mean the wall track that the door runs into is out of plumb. You can see this as the gap is not consistent from top to bottom.
The best way to solve this issue would be to remove the track from the wall, pack it out so that it sits plumb and then reinstall the screws.
You can use Macsim 75mm Mixed Hang Window Packers to pack out the wall track, placing the packers behind the screw points and checking for plumb using a spirit level before screwing the track back into place.
You will then need to use No More Gaps to cover the gap behind the wall track.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
