Hi, could some please help or suggest some to fix the stain of the burnt hardwood floor for keeping the hot coal on the floor for long time. thanks
Hi @akshay0094,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you join our wonderful community.
If the burn is quite superficial and hasn't penetrated too deeply into the wood, I would suggest sanding it back with heavy grit sandpaper such as this 40 Grit Timber Sandpaper to remove the burn, then smoothing and blending it in with 120 Grit Timber Sandpaper.
If you find that the burn has penetrated quite deeply and sanding doesn't remove the burn, you may need to look at cutting out the section of timber and flipping it over or replacing it with a section of timber from a different, discrete location such as a cupboard. This style of repair would likely require the assistance of a carpenter or flooring specialist for best results.
If this is not a suitable solution for you, you could remove the section of burnt timber using a combination of drilling with a spade bit and sanding, then filling the hole with a suitable timber filler to match, however this style of repair would stick out as the grain pattern of the timber would not be present where you've used filler.
