How to close gap in sliding door?

Why are you looking to eliminate the gaps around your cavity sliding door? Are you trying to reduce sound or perhaps insulate the room? 

The gaps you see around a cavity sliding door are standard and necessary for the door to move smoothly; without them, the door would scrape against the frame, leading to paint wear and marking. If you’re set on reducing the gaps, you might want to try foam sealing strips. These strips come in various thicknesses and are self-adhesive, so you should be able to find one that offers a snug fit while still allowing the door to operate without interference. Just keep in mind that cavity doors are generally designed with these gaps, so while sealing strips may help, they may not fully soundproof or insulate as well as a solid door might.

It’s mainly because it seems to be a great spot for spiders to hide. I have the house sprayed but there is a lot of bush around the house and they seem to find every little crack/hole to come in. The wall of this door is directly connected to the outside wall and roof (it’s just a little Garden/Pool house type of building.

If that's the main reason, then I suggest you spray within these gaps with Richgro 3L Indoor Outdoor Surface Spray @Bekommstenicht_. It offers up to nine months of protection and will prevent spiders from making their homes within the gaps.
