The bedroom and laundry spaces in the bedsit currently renting lacks natural light and are very dark in the best of times which only occurs during the afternoon.
What colour paint/furnishings etc will help brighten these areas?
Hello @Kati15
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your questions about how to brighten up a room.
One way to brighten up a room is by installing more lights. I suggest using either the Mercator Ester Light Floor Lamp or the Light Floor Lamp Mercator Billie. These are tall lamps which casts a lot of light inside dark rooms. The furniture of course would need to be white so that any light entering the room will get reflected by the white furnishings. There is also the option of installing motion sensor lights so that you won't stumble in the dark.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @Kati15,
Let me also extend a very warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Feel free to post anytime you need a hand.
I would suggest having a good look at the ideas from our community shared by one of our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts Mitch in 10 ways to make your home feel brighter. In addition to the lighting suggestions from Eric, some bright white paint to reflect more light would be a great idea. I would also be considering installing skylights. And what is on the floors?
