Hi, I've moved into a rental. And all the windows are Casement, with no screens. The windows also have bars on the inside. I have tried using self-adhesive fly screens but it just keeps falling down.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks
Keira
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @keiralea. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about creating flyscreens.
There is a small flat portion on the outside of the bars, which leads to a rounded edge. It looks like the flat section would offer enough space for a flyscreen frame to sit there. So, you could likely create screens with a solid frame that sits on the inside of the bars. If the screen is not tight enough to sit within the window frame by itself, you could use these to Rolltrak Clear Flyscreen Butterfly Clips retain them. You would need to remove the frame each time you open and close the windows.
I can't think of another way to get around this issue, so it might be worth constructing one frame as an experiment to see whether the idea would work.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
