It is likely possible to increase the height of the wardrobe, assuming there are no services such as plumbing or air-con ducts running directly above that opening.
Looking at the niche above the wardrobe, I doubt there is, but if you had access to the building plans or a manhole that allowed you access to the ceiling cavity, you should be able to confirm this.
If nothing is running above the wardrobe, you will need to remove the doors, cut out the bulkhead above the door and extend the height of the framing on either side of the opening. You might also need to make adjustments to the framing at the back and sides of the wardrobe.
Once the framing has been altered, you will need to reinstate the plasterboard inside the wardrobe, seal and plaster it, reinstall new jambs and doors, add new architraves, reinstall the shelving in the wardrobe and then paint everything.
