How many coats of paint should I apply?

Sorry if I am repeating this but I don’t post very often. I bought some paint from Bunnings but forgot to ask how many coats

Hi @brendawebster44.

Typically you'd apply as many coats as needed until you can't see through them and you've achieved full coverage. The number of coats required will vary depending on the colour you're painting over and how thick you apply the coats. It appears you'd have at least one more coat to do, or possibly two.

Thankyou for your advice I will put two coats on. I have some water biased enamel in Magnolia and heaps of small tins of paint so now its what colour. I find painting in my underwear with just my apron on perfect for not getting my clothes all full of paint. Talk about the naked chef brenda
