As mentioned in the title, what is the best method to repair this wall paint (see the pictures below)? A detailed step-by-step guide on how to fix it including the products used to fix the wall paint.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about repairing your wall paint.
I suggest using a 100mm Sharp Edge Paint Scraper in combination with a Ryobi 300W Random Orbital Sander ROS300-S to remove the flaking paint. Once all the paint has been removed use an Ozito 1250W 12L Stainless Wet And Dry Vacuum to suck up all the dust debris left on the wall and floor. I then recommend using a clean damp cloth on the surface of the wall to remove any residual dust.
When the wall is totally clean, I recommend using Zinsser Peel Stop Binding Primer Clear. This water-based, low-odour formula penetrates cracks, binds peeling edges, and seals chalky residue to create a smooth, solid foundation. Ideal for both interior and exterior projects, it dries quickly and can be top coated in just 2 hours. You can use an ordinary paint roller to apply this primer. Once the primer cures you can use either Dulux Wash &Wear or Taubmans Easycoat for the topcoat.
