Dressing table upcycle using chalk paint

Giving new life to an old horrible dresser.

Materials

Chalk paint, sandpaper, new door knobs,  varnish and filler.

Tools

Ryobi sander and drill

Steps

Step 1

Remove old handles and give it a good wipe down. Patch up broken wood and give it a good sand.

Sand the cupboard , only light sand on drawers, doors and sides but the top I gave it a good sand. I stick on the decorative moulds and applied 2 layers of 123 Zinsser  undercoat &  2 layers of chalk paint on the sides, doors & drawers.

 The top I used Cabothane varnish 2 coats 

Step 4

 The inside I painted as needed.

It's come up beautifully. I really like the choice of paint and those decorative moulds add a subtle touch of character that is just wonderful.
