Giving new life to an old horrible dresser.
Chalk paint, sandpaper, new door knobs, varnish and filler.
Ryobi sander and drill
Remove old handles and give it a good wipe down. Patch up broken wood and give it a good sand.
Sand the cupboard , only light sand on drawers, doors and sides but the top I gave it a good sand. I stick on the decorative moulds and applied 2 layers of 123 Zinsser undercoat & 2 layers of chalk paint on the sides, doors & drawers.
The top I used Cabothane varnish 2 coats
The inside I painted as needed.
Hi @Belindaplumley,
Thank you for sharing your upcycling project.
It's come up beautifully. I really like the choice of paint and those decorative moulds add a subtle touch of character that is just wonderful.
Congratulations on a job well done.
Jacob
