I saw a bed that I liked in a furniture store, it was very expensive so I decided to make one myself for less than a 1/4 of the price.
I didn't have any plans to work from, I just eyeballed it.
Very happy with the end result.
Great work as always @WoodenGregsWood. Many thanks for sharing. I'm sure your work will inspire others.
What materials did you use?
Jason
As someone that purchased a very expensive and almost identical bed @WoodenGregsWood, I'd have to say yours looks far more substantial. If it weren't for wanting to appease my significant other, I would have preferred building something like this, and it would have been a far better choice. With fixings tightened up, it is still rickety, squeaks and is manufactured from fairly budget materials despite the price tag.
Many thanks for sharing and great work!

Hi Jason,
My objective was to be very budget conscious so for the two ends of the bed i used pine and lining boards to fill in the ends.
The rails are hardwood with the slats used from my old bed.
Cheers
Greg
