Find a nice old piece of furniture you like, FB MP or op shops are good places to start

Sand it down, starting with 80 grit to remove the old stain, then 120 and then 240 before painting. I added three coats of white paint and then applied furniture oil.

We had some drawer paper, which was used for the lining of the drawer.

We let the paint dry for several days before moving it into his bedroom.

Love it @Nham! There's nothing better than reusing a piece of furniture, especially when it's made of solid timber. I'm sure it will stand the test of time.

The bedside table is much brighter! :smile: Looks good and you revitilised it! I can remember mum putting in paper to line the bottom of the draws :smile: Strange how I dont line my draws now as it has such fond memories.
