Hi Everyone,
We needed a side drawer for one of the kid's bedrooms and found this old drawer at a local op shop. It took about half a day to do the side drawer, and after the final coat of paint, we let it stand for 4-5 days before moving it into his room. It turned out well and we got to reuse another piece of old furniture.
Materials
Tools
Sand Paper
White Dulux Paint (left over from previous jobs)
Furniture oil
Drawer Paper
Orbital sander
Sand Paper DIY wooded block
Paint Brushes
Paper for drawers
Steps
Step 1
1/4Find a nice old piece of furniture you like, FB MP or op shops are good places to start
Step 2
2/4Sand it down, starting with 80 grit to remove the old stain, then 120 and then 240 before painting. I added three coats of white paint and then applied furniture oil.
Step 3
3/4We had some drawer paper, which was used for the lining of the drawer.
Step 4
4/4We let the paint dry for several days before moving it into his bedroom.

Re: Bedside table make over
Love it @Nham! There's nothing better than reusing a piece of furniture, especially when it's made of solid timber. I'm sure it will stand the test of time.
Many thanks for sharing your project and the steps you took to complete it.

Re: Bedside table makeover
Afternoon @Nham
The bedside table is much brighter! Looks good and you revitilised it! I can remember mum putting in paper to line the bottom of the draws
Strange how I dont line my draws now as it has such fond memories.
