I have just completed painting and finishing off a bedroom. I repainted the walls in Lexicon 1/4 strength low sheen, the floors were painted in satin black, skirting boards, architrave and windows and door in satin white.
I have also added a new bed, purchased a flat pack wardrobe, made coat hooks, shutters, up cycled a bedside drawers and made a floating picture frame.
Materials used.
Lowsheen 1/4 strength Dulux Lexicon, walls
Flat white for ceiling
Lowsheen white for architrave,skirting, windows, door.
Satin black for floors
Tasmanian oak and pine for picture frame
Skirting boards
Various size rollers, brushes.
Workshop power tools, various
Removed old skirting boards and patched area.
Washed and painted walls, 4 coats were required to cover the original paint.
Sanded, washed and painted 3 coats of satin black.
Cut, paint and install new skirting boards
Paint door and windows.
Make and install coat hooks.
Assemble and install bed, mattress, bought online.
Assemble and install wardrobe., also bought on line.
Install picture.

Thank you so much for sharing your bedroom makeover project. I love all the elements you've included in this makeover. The freshly painted walls make the room so much brighter, and the black floor provides excellent contrast. Your custom builds of course add so much personality to the room, the piano coat hooks, the upcycled drawer cabinet and of course my favourite the custom window shutters.
