is Dulux 1L Design Black Chalkboard Paint ok to use on laminate?

Hi guys need some advice on what type of chalk board paint I can use on laminate!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Lolly. It's fantastic to have you join us and many thanks for your question.

I've spoken to Dulux about their Dulux 1L Design Black Chalkboard Paint and unfortunately, it is not suitable for being applied over laminate. We even discussed if a primer would assist, but once again they were not confident that would improve the situation.

You'll see in this step-by-step D.I.Y. tutorial on How to paint a chalkboard wall they are painting over an MDF sheet and a primer. I would recommend a similar process of screwing a sheet of 6mm MDF board to the laminate, priming it and then applying your chalkboard paint to it.
