Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @birabedi. It's marvellous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about the cost of running a heater.
First, you need to know the cost of your electricity. This is normally denoted on your bill as a kWh cost. For the sake of this example, let's say it is $0.25 per kWh.
Let's assume you want to run this 2000-watt (2kW) heater for 5 hours. Power consumption (kWh) = 2 kW × 5 hours = 10 kWh
Energy cost = Power consumption (kWh) × Cost per kWh. Assuming the cost per kilowatt-hour is 25 cents ($0.25): Energy cost = 10 kWh × $0.25/kWh = $2.50
So, if you were to run the heater for 5 hours, it would cost approximately $2.50.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
