Hi Team!
I have a Mondella curve tap sink mixer brushed steel. I’m looking to replace the aerator in the tap as the flow is really slow. I have replaced it before through special orders for the entire aerator tip including the casing for over $60. Is there an aerator insert that I can buy to replace it the internal part of the casing? The size is unusual so it does not fit the standard tap aerator size of 22-24mm which the Mondella aerator is slightly smaller. It’s quite annoying as the tap works well and sturdy but the aerator is unique and I don’t want to spend $60 for another tap end with the aerator inside.

Hi @EddieC,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
I believe you have a gooseneck tap like this Mondella Resonance Side Pin Lever Sink Mixer. Is that correct?
This EnduraSeal 21mm Chrome Female Multi-Function Aerator is 21mm, so it might work, but you'd have to physically confirm they are the same. You can remove your old aerator and bring it with you in store. The Plumbing team at your local store will surely be happy to assist comparing.
Unfortunately, if you want to guarantee you can get an aerator, you may need to order one from Mondella through our Spare Parts team.
Alternatively, if the flow restriction is due to scale buildup in the aerator, soaking it in cleaning vinegar and scrubbing it with a toothbrush or similar brush should help to remove any buildup and increse the flow rate.
Let me know what you think and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
Thanks Jacob,
I will check it out…unfortunately the Mondella tap is for some reason non standard sizing like other taps so it is hard to get the aerator part. Just don’t want to pay for a small part that is nearly a third of the cost of the tap. I will also see the spare parts team if I can get the aerator insert only. Thanks for your help!
