Hi,
We have the spout mixer tap as pictured. The tap is around 6 months old and was part of a kitchen renovation done before we moved in.
Just recently the tap has started to drain water after I’ve turned it off. It runs for a good second or two when previously it would immediately cease when turned off on the mixer tap.
At the advice of others I’ve checked the aerator and it’s clear of any debris. I’ve also read comments that this is working as intended but it is something that has only recently started happening.
We have similar taps in the bathroom albeit they had much smaller spouts and they have no similar issues.

After the tap is turned off, the water residing in the spout will drain out, which might take a second or two. I've marked the area that drains below. That doesn't explain why this phenomenon has only started occurring, though. The only thing I could suggest would be to replace the mixer cartridge, but that might not resolve this issue.
As mentioned, my expectation is that after the water flow has been cut off, there should be some amount of draining of the gooseneck, but I'm not sure why that wouldn't have previously occurred. I did think it might have been because the water in the gooseneck was being retained and locked into position with a new slight leak allowing air into the system, releasing the water. However, I've tested that theory on a bendy straw, and water always drains from that section.
