Standard is 350mm and its increased to 480mm in order to run LED channel recessed including undermount rangehood area.

Re: kitchen overhead cabin - 480mm deep too much?

Hello @Samara1

Thanks for sharing your question about your wall cabinet. The Kaboodle wall cabinets are a fixed size 720mm (h)x 320mm (d) door included the only variable that changes is the width as they come in several sizes. But those two measurements stay the same. Most LED strip lights are often around 10mm in width, I often suggest using 42 x 19mm 1.8m DAR Pine Premium - 1.8m as a spacer and inset to allow you to undermount the LED strip underneath hidden from view.

If your cabinet is already at 350mm in depth, I suggest finding out first what space your LED strip is occupying. If the strip only needs 10mm you can easily use the 42x19 pine strip. I've placed a sample image below to give you an idea of how it can be done.

In regards to your original measurements, I'm afraid 480mm will be coming out too far and you might hit your head whenever you work over your benchtop.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
