How to turn water off to replace kitchen taps?

Hi, I’m replacing my kitchen faucets and obviously need to turn the water off in order to replace. Will turning the taps off underneath the sink be enough or is there likely to be a main tap somewhere I need to also turn off? Many thanks in advance!

Re: Kitchen Sink Plumbing

Hi @Will01,

Thank you for your question about replacing your kitchen taps.

The taps you've photographed are isolation valves which are there so the water supply can be turned off to your kitchen taps.

I'd suggest turning these taps off and as an added precaution, disconnect the hoses that run from them to your kitchen taps before proceeding with the changeover.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
