How to secure laminate edging that is coming off?

We have laminex white kitchen drawer fronts that are only about four years old and on our most used drawer the laminate edging is beginning to come away/become brittle. What would the best adhesive be to try and fix this and how can you apply it when the gap is so narrow? Thanks!

Re: how to secure laminate edging that is coming off

Hello @jennywren

Thanks for sharing your question about your laminate edging. I propose using Selleys 50ml Kwik Grip Crystal Clear Contact Adhesive and sharp bamboo toothpicks. I suggest inserting the sharp toothpicks under the loose laminate to lift it off the cabinet edge.

Using another toothpick apply some contact adhesive to the tip and spread it as far and as deep as you can. Give the adhesive a few minutes to get tacky before pushing the laminate down onto the timber edge.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
