Hey there,
I recently purchased this table top for a good price due to the pale mark in the middle of it. I had assumed it was a watermark that I could remove using a iron over a T-shirt; a trick that usually works.
It however didn’t and I’m now wondering if it is even a water mark? Any ideas on what I can use to fix this and avoid refinishing the whole table?
Hello @MickG
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about how to remove a white watermark from your table.
I suggest using Feast Watson 250ml Surface Restore. It's a combination of waxes and oils that restores worn timber finishes without the need to sand or strip. Please make sure to rub in the direction of the grain and not in a circular motion.
However, if the Surface Restorer does not fix the damage your other option is to re-stain the top of your table.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How to restore wooden furniture.
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing your table restored.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
