Hi, I've been trying to remove my rangehood in preparation to install a new one, but it appears to be caught on two of these things (diagonally apart):
There isn't an obvious screw or anything else to remove them. Does anyone have any idea?
If it helps the rangehood is an Omega 52cm internal rangehood, probably around 15-20 years old.
Thanks
Kieran
Hi @kdonelly
In the top of the photo there appears what might be a metal strip That maybe a metal latch designed to allow the range hood to go up and be held in place will the installer readys themselves for the proper placement and fixing?
Use a flat medium bladed screw driver under those tabs and see if they lift up and release the range hood.
Hi @kdonelly,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
With the age of the product, it might not be exactly the same, but is it similar to this Omega 52cm Undermount Stainless Steel Rangehood 700M3?
If so, undermount rangehoods will have screws up into the cabinet through the inside of the rangehood.
They may be concealed by the filter or a cover plate, but they will be there somewhere.
Is it possible to get some wider photos of the inside of the rangehood?
Once I have some further details, I'll be happy to assist further.
Jacob
